The Five Spiritual Principles of Reiki

Just for today, I will be humble.

Just for today, I will let go of anger.

Just for today, I will be honest in my work.

Just for today, I will let go of worry.

Just for today, I will have compassion for myself and others.

Journal it out.

Which principle resonates with you most?

Self-Care & Grounding

It is important in today’s world to take some time to quiet your mind. With all the technology and constant movement throughout our days it’s easy to loose touch with ourselves. What can we do to practice grounding and self-care? When we’re grounded we feel safe, loved, secure, confident and free. When we are stressed we feel un-safe, un-loved, scared, stuck and manic. Decision making is much easier when we are grounded- LIFE is much simpler when we are grounded.

Let’s get grounded…

Kick off the shoes, take a walk in nature. Feel the cold pavement on the soles of your feet, the itchy grass or grainy sand slide between your toes. After snoozing your alarm, quiet your mind before sifting through new texts and emails. Journal it out… make a gratitude list. Self-reflect. What does your mind, body, soul need? Are you feeling tired- nap. Are you feeling overwhelmed- shut down the electronics, get in nature, unwind. Are you feeling sad- take a hot shower, listen to happy music, surround yourself with positive people.

Compartmentalize your feelings. Be gentle with and love yourself! Flaws and all, you are AMAZING! Release self guilt and worry. Stop judging not only others but most importantly yourself. Give and receive love freely. Repeat self-love mantras.

I am open.

I am free.

I am loved.

I am whole.

I am abundant.
